In this thesis the influence of pneumo-vagina on the microbiological colonization of the genital tract and their manifestation in cytological smears was examined. For mares with poor vulval conformation a comparison of the bacterial growth before and after plastic surgery of the vulva and vestibulum was carried out, as well as the registration of conception rates after operation and insemination. The biggest reduction of the bacterial content in the reproductive tract was found between vestibulum and cranial section of the vagina.
German : Vagina. The vagina belongs to the interior female genitals and is approximately 8 to 10 cm long. The introitus vaginae vaginal entrance is narrowed by the hymenwhich normally tears during the first sexual intercourse.
The skin and mucous membranes harbour a variety of micro-organisms. These can be arranged into two groups. They are derived from the environment, do not produce disease nor establish themselves permanently on.
Gynecological Surgery. The aim of this study is the evaluation of a simple surgical widening plasty of the posterior vestibulum for central introital dyspareunia. This study takes place in gynecological infectious diseases clinic in secondary and tertiary care centers.
Illustrated anatomical parts with images from e-Anatomy and descriptions of anatomical structures. The hymen varies much in shape. When stretched, its commonest form is that of a ring, generally broadest posteriorly; sometimes it is represented by a semilunar fold, with its concave margin turned toward the pubes.
Benign cystic lesions of the female external genitalia are frequently encountered in gynecologic and female urologic practices. True cystic lesions of the vagina and vulva originate from vaginal and vulvar tissues, respectively, but lesions arising from the urethra and surrounding tissues can appear as cystic lesions of the vagina and vulva as well. Most cysts of the female genitalia are located within the vagina, and their prevalence has been estimated to be 1 in women; however, this figure is probably an underestimation, because most cysts are asymptomatic and therefore not reported. Vaginal cysts typically occur in the third and fourth decades and are rarely found in prepubertal females except in countries where female circumcision in performed.
The vulva pudendum refers to the external female genitalia. Its functions are threefold:. This is initially treated with antibiotics, but occasionally can be complicated by the formation of a cyst or abscess.
The vulval vestibule or vulvar vestibule or vestibule of vagina is a part of the vulva between the labia minora into which the urinary meatus urethral opening and the vaginal opening open. Its edge is marked by Hart's line. It represents the distal end of the urogenital sinus of the embryo. Structures opening in the vulval vestibule are the urethravaginaBartholin's glandsand Skene's ducts.
